Thank you to all who supported the Craft Fair - Despite the weather forecast, it did stay dry and I am sure the charities have done very well.

After a very busy Summer our attention turns to our Craft Fair this weekend - we have over 80 stallholders showing off their talents, hopefully raising lots of money for the East Anglian Children's Hospice 'Nook Appeal' and the Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

It's that time of year again - Sisland Carr is starting to look spectacular with its carpet of bluebells. Our current guests and their 2 dogs are enjoying their daily walks up there.

Storm Doris left its mark with an inconvenient power cut a few fences issues - and we moved into March - spring flowers popping up and the occasional beautiful day. Lots of guest staying and plenty of hungry people to feed - we had a group here yesterday celebrating a 90th birthday. Never two days the same at Sisland Tithe barn!
Spring is round the corner

What a difference a week makes - last Monday we were shivering, still evidence of the snowfalls we had over the weekend - this Monday, blue skies, birds singing and bulbs just about to burst into flower. In Norfolk we have hardly had a winter at all but as the days get longer we can look forward to grass cutting!
Chilly - but stunning big Norfolk Skies
23rd Jan 2017, 18:10
Although the temperatures are not great in Norfolk at the moment, it is worth it just for the fantastic red skies, morning and evening. They really are special. We can also report that there are two barn owls flying around on a regular basis. They feed on voles and obviously prefer it when the ground isn't frozen - on the positive side, we have not had any rain for over a week now - Barn Owls can not fly in wet weather so they should be getting enough food.
Norfolk - a year round destination

The Grey Seal population is growing - the latest weekly 'pup count' was 493 pups at Horsey alone. Why not treat yourself to a winter break?
