Sisland Tithe Barn is perfectly located to enjoy the many leisure activities that the area has to offer and Owl Barn, Orchard Barn, The Hayloft & Elle-de-Vardo all have extensive up-to-date tourist information folders.
For the more active, The Tithe Barn is situated on Route 1 of the National Cycle Network. It is also situated close to the Wherrymans Way and Boudicca Way long-distance footpaths which meander through the Norfolk countryside.
For culture-seekers, The Tithe Barn is fifteen minutes away from the vibrant city of Norwich with its plethora of theatres, museums and galleries, including the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. A little further away, Snape Maltings is the home of Aldeburgh Music and the world famous Concert Hall.
Head southwards and the Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach – Southwold and Aldeburgh are charming seaside towns. Sisland is also close to the Norfolk Broads, the southern rivers of which can easily be explored by day-boat hire from Beccles.
Closer to base and looking out over the neighbouring fields, it is easy to appreciate the countryside. Sisland is home to diverse flora and fauna and a beautiful bluebell wood, Sisland Carr. Prehistoric flints and a Bronze Age stone axe hammer have been discovered in the area together with numerous Roman and Saxon finds.
