Living
The living space is lovely with original beams, quirky artwork and wonderful countryside views from the enormous picture window. What could be better than watching the Barn Owl fly over the meadow as you are enjoying dinner? Two comfortable sofas provide plenty of space to relax and chat or watch a film.
Eating
The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for a self-catering stay – oven, hob, ‘fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A tumble-dryer is also available for guests use. The dining table seats four in comfort and can be easily extended for visiting family and friends. With several farm shops and local suppliers within a short distance, you’ll never be far away from inspiring ingredients.
Sleeping
The two bedrooms, one with original beams, both have comfortable beds complete with crisp Egyptian cotton bed-linen. You’ll also find plenty of wardrobe and storage space and everything else you need for a good night’s sleep.
Bathing
Orchard Barn has a luxurious large walk-in shower plus basin and WC, tall heated towel-rail and complimentary toiletries.
Outdoor Space
There’s plenty of outside space at Orchard Barn. The addition of a log cabin gazebo during late autumn 2021 means that, should the evenings get chilly, you can still enjoy alfresco living and dining undercover using the BBQ/pizza oven. The two sumptuous lounge and dining suites means any time spent outdoors will be in the height of comfort.
Wi-Fi
Orchard Barn has 4G Wi-Fi throughout should you wish to keep in contact with the outside world. Please bear in mind that Sisland is a rural village and Wi-Fi speeds and reliability may not be as consistent as in urban areas.
Dogs
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Orchard Barn. Canine guests have treats, a water bowl, towel and blanket awaiting them. We charge £20 per dog. Dog-friendly beaches can be found at Dunwich Heath and Thorpeness in Suffolk and Old Hunstanton and Holkham in Norfolk. Nearby Loddon has a range of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants that offer fantastic menus with plenty of delicious meals to choose from.
Parking
There is plenty of parking for up to three cars.
In the Area
Orchard Barn is perfectly situated to explore the very best of Norfolk and Suffolk. The vibrant city of Norwich is just fifteen minutes away with its multitude of theatres, museums and galleries. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach – Southwold and Aldeburgh are charming seaside towns. Orchard Barn is also close to the Norfolk Broads, the southern rivers of which can easily be explored by day-boat hire from Beccles. There are gardens in abundance, sites of historic interest, beautiful landscapes and nature just waiting for you to discover plus plenty of things to keep younger visitors occupied.
